una discusión entre una ardilla arropada por un fresno,
y una Tortuga más anciana que el Sol y la Luna.
Los tres Búhos también estaban presentes, como siempre,
pero sin mediar palabra…

Saltamos de un lugar a otro, no hay caídos.
Rama, charco o incluso al más oscuro umbral.
Sin importarnos mucho en realidad.
Vamos, venimos, jugamos y reímos.
Sólo somos ardillas, no pedimos más.
¿Deberíamos preocuparnos de alguien, vetusta amiga?
¡Sigenzo! siempre vigilando desde las alturas.
Si voláramos sería divertido, estoy segura.
Igual pasa con nuestras amigas serpientes,
pero nunca supimos reptar, naturalmente.
¿Acaso os molesta nuestra felicidad, querida anciana?

He vivido bajo una bóveda inerte, casi sin sentido.
Sobre una tierra más inerte aun.
Criaturas egoístas, no amaban.
Sólo buscaban.
Poder.
Querida ardilla, a lo largo de mis años he comprobado que
la vida no funciona así. Hay algo más allá de cada rama,
de cada salto, y de cada mirada.
Vivimos bajo el mismo cielo, Sol y Luna.
Todos bajo la atenta mirada de los Tres Búhos.
Iguales.
Hagamos que de esta Tierra débil, yerma y egoísta florezcan
almas que recuerden el pasado con pena y hastío, y sientan
el presente en aras de un futuro devenir
en el que todos seamos uno.

It was some time ago, animals, I heard
about an argument between a squirrel, under an ash,
and a turtle, older that the Moon and the Sun.
The three Owls were there too, as always, in silence...

The Newborns

We jump place to place, there are no falls.
Branch, pond or even the darkest doorstep.
Nothing really matters much.
Up and down we go, we play and we laugh.
We are just squirrels, we don't ask for more.
Should we care about anyone, our ancient friend?
Sigenzo! Always vigilant from high above.
If we flew, sure we would have fun.
Same happens with our snake friends.
But we never knew how to slither, naturally.
Does our happines bother you, dear old woman?

I've lived under an inert firmament.
On a yet more inert land.
Selfish creatures, didn't love.
Just searching for...
Power.
Dear squirrel, throughout the years I have come to understand
that life doesn't work like that.
There is something else beyond each branch,
jump and look.
We live under the same Sun and Moon.
All under the close scrutiny of the Three Owls.
Equals.
Let's make this weak, barren and selfish Land bloom
with souls that remember the past
with sadness and weariness
and feel the present in favor of a future evolution
in which all become one.
